What is Cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying also known as online bullying. It is a form of bullying using electronic means. It has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers, as the digital sphere has expanded and technology has advanced. Cyberbullying is when someone, typically a teenager, bullies or harasses others on the internet and in other digital spaces, particularly on social media sites. Harmful bullying behavior can include posting rumors, threats, a victims’ personal information or pejorative labels such as hate speech. Bullying can be identified by repeated behavior and an intent to harm.

  1. Impersonating someone

This is another common technique, and it’s easy to do with the help of free and unverified email accounts offered by gmail, hotmail, and others.  Bullies create a name similar to the victims and then go online and act in awful ways while pretending to be the victim.

This is one of the types of cyberbullying that my friend have fece it before. For example, my friends’s password and device heve been steal by the people who want to cyberbullying him and pretending to be my friends while chatting with others. Most important i things is the person changing the my friends’s profile in social accounts so that it is offensive. For example, they change my friend’s profile picture to the picture they have been edited, it look like very ugly and funny. This situation make my friend dare not go to the social media because he afair his account use by the person who want to cyberbullying he so he delect his account and forced to disappear from any social media in order to avoid the person have opportunities to user his account to do somethings.

2. Exclusion

For example, your child might be excluded/uninvited to groups or parties while they see other friends being included, or left out of message threads or conversations that involve mutual friends. This types of Cyberbulling also face by my friend. His friends started to exclusion him when getting know he is facing the Cyberbullying. No one getting help to him! In addition, his friends started to exclusion and let him alone to face this problem. He was feel sad and inability about this problem.

3. Flaming
This type of online bullying constitutes of posting about or directly sending insults and profanity to their target. This also is a normal types of the cyberbullying. My friends has attact by this type of the cyberbullying, for example, they will use some bad word to make the people feel uncomfortable such as the picture(Picture1.0) showing that. For example, they will criticism your appearance such as fat, ugly, ‘your body is short’, ‘why you look like a pig’ and something like that. This situation caused my friend to feel very inferior and sad. Therefore, he like to stay alone, this make him almost suffer from autistic. I very hate Cyberbullying because it make me lose my friends, before that he is person very friendly and outgoing personality.

How Cyberbullying Affects Victims

Cyberbullying is, in effect, a severe form of psychological abuse, and as such can cause both short term and long term damage to the victim.

Because children and teenagers are often hesitant to talk about what they’re experiencing, it can be difficult for them to process and deal with the effects of cyberbullying. While all children are at risk, those who suffer from mental health issues are more prone to being seriously affected by cyberbullying. Research tells us that victims of cyberbullying can suffer from a range of issues, including lowered self-esteem, depression, fear, anger, and frustration.

Way to solve Cyberbullying

  1. Don’t respond or retaliate

Sometimes a reaction is exactly what aggressors are looking for because they think it gives them power over you, and you don’t want to empower a bully. As for retaliating, getting back at a bully turns you into one – and can turn one mean act into a chain reaction. If you can, remove yourself from the situation. If you can’t, sometimes humor disarms or distracts a person from bullying.

2. Tell the person to stop

This is completely up to you – don’t do it if you don’t feel totally comfortable doing it, because you need to make your position completely clear that you will not stand for this treatment any more. You may need to practice beforehand with someone you trust, like a parent or good friend.

3.Reach out for help

Ask for help, especially if the behavior’s really getting to you. You deserve backup. See if there’s someone who can listen, help you process what’s going on and work through it – a friend, relative or maybe an adult you trust.

This is the one of the way that my friend has used it to asking for help from me. Be a friend I has to give help to him by listen his talk about his unhappy things in order to reduce his stress from the Cyberbullying. In addition, I also give some opinion to him in order to help him to solve the problem.

In Conclusion

In conclusion, Cyberbullying is a serious issue, and like any form of bullying it can have long-term effects on its victims normally are teenagers. As technology continues to become an increasingly large part of our daily lives, and the lives of our children, it is important to recognize the dangers of cyberbullying and to take definite steps to prevent it. I think everyone of us have the responsibility to prevent the Cyberbullying happen around the worlds in order to make the world in peace. For example, parents, teachers and children must work together to prevent cyberbullying and to make the internet a safer place for all. Children should be educated on what to do and who to go to in the event that they encounter a cyberbully.

From this blog I hope my blog can let more people getting more detail about the serious of Cyberbullying and prevent its happens. At the end, I hope Cyberbullying can be disappear from the world.
